Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 7, 2026

At MoveMore ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

We operate under the regulations of Ontario, Canada (PIPEDA), while striving for global compliance standards including the GDPR and CCPA.

1. Information We Collect

A. Sensor and Activity Data

To provide our core functionality, the App requests access to your device's motion and fitness sensors (e.g., accelerometer, gyroscope). We use this data strictly to count repetitions and verify physical exercises. This movement data is processed locally on your device in real-time and is not uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers.

B. App Usage and Accessibility Data

To block selected applications, the App requires specific system permissions (such as Accessibility Services, Screen Time, or Usage Access). The App only monitors the active foreground application to determine if it matches your user-defined "Blocked Apps" list. We do not track, read, or transmit the content, text, or specific activities you perform inside other applications.

C. Analytics and Diagnostics Data

We may use third-party analytics services, such as Microsoft Clarity, to collect non-personally identifiable information regarding how the App is used. This includes crash reports, feature usage statistics, and performance metrics to help us fix bugs and improve user experience.

D. Payment and Subscription Data

The App requires a subscription or lifetime access purchase to function. All payments are processed entirely by third-party app stores (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We use a third-party service (RevenueCat) to verify your purchase status and grant access. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card details, billing address, or personal financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect primarily to:

  • Operate, maintain, and provide the features of the App.
  • Verify your exercise milestones to unlock your chosen applications.
  • Verify your subscription or trial status to grant access to the App.
  • Improve and optimize the App's algorithms and user interface.
  • Analyze crash logs to provide technical support.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or sensor data to third parties. We may share anonymized diagnostic, analytics, and subscription validation data with our service providers (like Microsoft Clarity and RevenueCat) strictly for the purpose of app operation and improvement.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

4. Data Security and Local Storage

Your privacy is our priority. The majority of the data required for the App to function—including your lists of blocked apps, exercise goals, and real-time movement data—is saved locally on your mobile device. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect any analytical or subscription-validation data transmitted to our third-party services.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location (such as the EEA, UK, California, or Canada), you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • The Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
  • The Right to Erasure: You can ask us to erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The Right to Opt-Out: You can opt-out of analytical tracking by disabling the feature in the App's developer/settings menu.

Because the App processes most data locally, you can delete your exercise and blocking configurations simply by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data from your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
