Welcome to MoveMore! This Privacy Policy explains how MoveMore Inc. ("MoveMore," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
a. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you create an account, we require your email address and a password. To help personalize your experience, we may optionally ask for information such as your age, weight, and height. You can add, update, or remove this optional information at any time in your account settings.
- Tax & Eligibility Information (US Residents): If you win a prize, we may be required to collect additional information for eligibility verification, though we limit winnings to avoid collecting Social Security Numbers.
- Contact Information: If you contact us through our contact form or for support, we will collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
b. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Services
- Activity Data: We collect information about your exercise activity, such as the type of challenge completed (e.g., jumping jacks, squats), the number of repetitions, completion time, and points earned and redeemed.
- Sensor Data (Accelerometer & Gyroscope): To verify exercise completion and to improve our exercise detection algorithms, our mobile app collects motion data from your device's accelerometer and gyroscope during your workout sessions. This raw sensor data may be stored on our servers and associated with your account to help us analyze performance, refine our technology, and develop new features.
- Usage and Device Information & Analytics: We use third-party partners that use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your interactions with our site. This helps us understand how you use our site, measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and improve your experience. The information collected may include your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, and how you navigated the site.
- Third-Party Tools on Our Website: We use the following services to help us with this analysis:
- Google Analytics: To understand website traffic and user behavior. Google Analytics uses its own cookies. You can learn more about how Google collects and processes data here.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook): To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and understand the actions people take on our website after viewing our Facebook or Instagram ads.
- Reddit Pixel: To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Reddit and understand the actions people take on our website after viewing our ads.
- Microsoft Clarity: To understand how users interact with our website through features like heatmaps and session replays. This helps us identify usability issues and improve the overall user experience.
- Automatic Event Tracking: To better understand how visitors engage with our site, we have implemented features that automatically track certain interactions, such as clicks on buttons (e.g., "Download" buttons), navigation links, and views of key sections of a page.
- Important Note on Scope: The website-specific tracking tools listed above (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Reddit Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity) are currently implemented only on our public website (movemore.ca) and are not present within the MoveMore mobile application. Our mobile app's data collection practices are limited to those described elsewhere in this policy, such as Activity and Sensor Data.
- Your Choices: When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline these non-essential tracking technologies. You can also manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
